When the Best is not the Best

It’s a competitive world we live in. People want the best jobs, the best girlfriends, the best everything. It would seem.
I have strived to improve my job over the years – changing jobs regularly actually, and I’ve probably gone as far as I can go, from a money point of view. And it’s the worst job I ever had. The best paid, but the worst job. I went to work for a big corporate you see – a shiny looking company, a bit of a tart, you may even say but the sexy exterior hid a myriad of misery.
Almost like working in a mortuary – a place so devoid of noise and human interaction that you may as well be in a library, or coffin. I shall leave this place.
It reminds me of a girlfriend.
No really. Back in the day, I spent some time pursuing an obscenely beautiful woman. Many years, in fact. You can probably imagine the rest. I got her, eventually. Lets just say it didn’t turn out to be the lovely romance that I had imagined.
All that glitters is not gold. Or something.
Hot women come with many issues, and so do hot jobs.
